In a world where you need to get your goods where you want them, when you want them there, it’s vital to choose a partner that can get the job done.

While we don’t have David Letterman on staff, here’s our top ten list for why Apex rocks at logistics and shipping:

10. We build relationships and focus on efficiency.

We get to know our drivers/shipping companies and we have great mutual relationships. We have an efficient process in place to ensure quick processing of goods. We’re a pretty friendly bunch!

9. Extremely low freight damage claims!

Despite the number of goods we ship all over the world, we have few freight claims for damage. We can ensure that your goods are protected by buying linear footage instead of cubic footage (if required), and we can also baseload freight, minimizing the handling required. Finally, we implement procedures for freight safety based on our experience and strive to continually improve our process. Damaged goods make us sad. We do our best to ensure you don’t have to deal with that.

8. We can work with Customer’s freight forwarding companies directly.

That’s right – we’ll work on your behalf!

7. We know how to package your goods

From certified/specialized wood crates (Europe, Australia, US) to heat shrinking large to small parts, we’ll ensure your parts are protected. What more is there to say, really?

6. We are near major highways, deep-water ports and an international airport.

We can also ship by container, as required. Trust us – it’ll be way smoother than Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

5. We have contacts with several logistics companies

From dimensional loads (oversize loads) to standard loads and LTL (less-than-truckload). We also under permitting by state and province. We get things across state lines… the legal way. No Jason Statham required.

4. We do load optimization to save you money.

We figure out the best way to assemble loads and we get it right. We know how to load a variety of materials in a multitude of ways, including: offset loads, loose loads, and off-centre loads. We also know how to handle non-typical components. Our friends always called us for advice on their lego projects.

In one example, we were able to refine the types of trailers being used for freight transport, saving 9 loads. This totaled over $70,000 in savings just by re-examining the load structure.lego-854147_1920

3. We purchase and sell worldwide.

Our goods – if they could eat – would’ve experienced tastes from all over the world.vegetables-791890_1920

2. We deal with brokers and customs documentation (incoming and outgoing).

We research tariff classifications as required, and we are familiar with NAFTA agreements and requirements. While they look worse than your scariest university/college textbook, we’ve got years and years of experience in finding the right information to ensure proper shipments.books-584999_1920

1. We arrange shipping and research for the best pricing.

That’s right – you don’t have to worry about it, and you’ll have money in your pocket.

While shipping and logistics is only a component of a project, we put a lot of thought and effort into it. We want to ensure you have the best overall experience you can for your project, and we always push to save you cost while providing safe, timely shipping.
