Our machine shops work hand in hand with our fabrication and assembly shop to meet your production requirements. Our two machining areas encompass an extensive variety of manual and the latest in state-of-the-art machining equipment.
The manual machine shop employs:In addition to our manual machine shop, Apex Industries also operates a CNC machining division. Housed in a modern 20,000 square foot shop, our CNC technologies division employs various Matsuura (3 and 5 axis), Kitamura, Haas, Mazak horizontal and vertical-machining centers, with automatic tool and pallet changers. Our turning center capability includes CNC lathes from Mazak, Nakamura-Tome, and Mori Seiki, most with live tooling capability. To compliment our computer controlled machining capabilities, we operate a Trumpf CNC fabricator and press brake. Quality assurance is monitored by our experienced QA department with modern CMM capabilities. Monitored manufacturing standards ensure parts that fit and perform to the end user's exact specifications.
Our experienced labor pool of CWB certified welders can meet your welding requirements whether it be GMAW, TIG, FCAW, SMAW or SAW. Our fabrication shop is housed in a 35,000 square foot building with an 11' x 24' CNC cutting table capable of cutting materials up to 8" thick. We can cut virtually any shape programmable in Auto-Cad and Sigma Nest software. Add to that our 18" vertical CNC band saw, 3/8" x 10" shear and 520-ton press, sub arc welders and a host of other metal working equipment and we can accommodate a wide range of fabrication to suit your needs. With eight overhead cranes and a combined lifting capacity of over 50 tons, we can maneuver a wide variety of assembled shapes, sizes and structures.
We can paint anything we build. Capabilities include, but are not limited to, conventional and airless spray in epoxies, zincs and enamels. At Apex we have extensive experience in coatings and can offer you many options.
Our facilities include a heated 2,500 square foot facility (24 ft ceiling), which allows us to paint virtually any sized component that we fabricate (an overhead crane services this drive-through facility). We operate an additional four self-contained spray booths complete with sandblasting and bake/drying capabilities.
