In 2007 Apex opened it's own secondary processing facility in Moncton, New Brunswick, adjacent to our main aerospace facility. This plant gives Apex the ability to control several secondary processes on behalf of the customer that assists in maintaining lead-times and relevant delivery schedules.

The processes that are included in our facility are:

• Chemical film treatment;
• Chemical cleaning;
• Painting & priming;
• Non-destructive testing (FPI - fluorescent penetrant inspect - coming mid-2008);
• Passivation;
• Conductivity testing;
• Electrical Bonding.

To compliment our in-house services Apex offers our customers the following secondary processes through our vendor network:

• Black oxide treatment;
• Chromic acid anodizing;
• Chemical treatment Mg castings;
• Chromium plating;
• Cadmium plating;
• Heat treating aluminum alloys;
• Heat treating of steel;
• Hard anodize;
• Shot peening;
• Non-destructive testing (MPI, FPI, ultrasonic and radiographic);
• Silk-screening.
