Apex's precision machining is divided into two manufacturing areas: milling and turning. Apex machines and fabricates complex multi-axis components of all sizes from aluminum, titanium, stainless and other aerospace alloys. We turn and mill from solids as well as from castings and forgings.

Our CNC machining capabilities include 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis, CNC milling centers and CNC turning centers with live tooling. Theses machines (and supporting infrastructure) are of the latest available technology - the age of our equipment is 5 years or less and our latest was commissioned in July 2008 - Mazak Vortex 1400). Apex continuously investigates the latest in machining technology, including the best in software and tooling.

Apex deploys 5-axis, simultaneously controlled machining capability, which allows work pieces with complex contours and features to be finished in just a single machine setup, increasing machining accuracy while reducing cycle time. Reducing the amount of material repositioning needed for 3D machining results in highly accurate products that are produced quickly and efficiently.
